Baby Shelf

Tomorrow

So… tomorrow, Monday, December 29th at 7:30 AM is the day!  It is the day that we have all been praying for.   It is the day that I will meet my precious little girl, my gift from God.   It is the day that I will start to receive some answers.  I have never prayed for anything so hard in my life.  I would trade my life – if given the choice – for the health of my baby girl. But, I know that this is not my choice to make.  Tomorrow, God will begin to pull-back the veil on his plan for our little gift. It is God’s decision as to whether or not she will be healthy or whether or not I will meet her this side of heaven.

So, through the tears that are streaming down my face so hard that I can barely see the screen, and the fear that creeps-in on the final leg of this journey, I must trust Him.  God is always good and He is with me now, tomorrow and everyday after that.  He will not leave me.

I continue to pray for a healthy baby girl.  However, above all else, no matter what the outcome, I pray that God’s will be done, and that I will be willing to accept His will.   So, with open arms, I hand my baby over to God, and I pray.  I ask that you all will pray this with us as well.

I want to thank each of you for your prayers, support, messages, “likes” and phone calls.  This has been a journey of a lifetime, and I am so glad to have had such wonderful friends and family to help us along the way.

Our baby girl has already changed our life in so many ways.  He has brought my husband and I closer to God, and my husband and I closer together as a couple. She has already accomplished so much in just 39 weeks. This, in itself, is such a gift.

God has also worked through the heart of our doctors and I pray that they will change the way they view babies that are viewed as less than perfect, and see the value of what they can add to so many people’s lives.

I also pray for wisdom for the entire staff of doctors and nurses involved in the care of our baby girl tomorrow.

So to wrap it up, please pray for complete healing of our baby girl… that doctors everywhere will see babies that are less than perfect as still valuable… wisdom for the doctors and nurses involved with the birth and care of our sweet baby girl… strength for my husband and me to get through the birth and make the best decisions for our baby girl. But above all – that God will use our journey to bring glory to himself, and will give us willing hearts to embrace his plan for us.

I am not sure how the day will unfold tomorrow, but we will update you all as soon as possible. Thank you so much for walking this road with us. You are a gift, and we are most grateful.

Andy & Jennifer

God doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle. I have two premie babies and one weighed 1lb 13oz and now he is 3 going on 4. The other is 21 months. God handles it all at the end of the day and according to HIS will.

We had a very similar experience to your story, except every time we had an ultrasound, they found something else wrong. We too placed the future of our baby in God’s hands and not what the test said. She had a 1% chance of survival! That was almost eight years ago and right now as I type this to you she is laying beside me playing on her IPAD! She is beautiful! So many prayers for you tomorrow.

Praying these words over your precious baby girl’s life. “I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you. Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10)

Just happened to notice a post on FB from LeeAnne Harris to pray for your baby the day before her birth. I know God wanted me to pray for you all. What a blessing to hear the great news of Sophia’s birth and to see those pictures says it all. God is faithful and hears the prayers of those who believe. I feel grateful to have been a part of those prayers and just want you to know that God has HUGE plans for little Sophia. She and you will always have a testimony of His power and love to share with folks who need to hear it. Thank you for allowing your friends and family to be such an active part of this precious event. God bless you!
